Add green screen option for video calls

Add an option in Voice & Video settings to allow users to change their camera background and select the background color that aligns best with their environment.

    Yes agreed this would be useful especially during these times. Both zoom and microsoft teams (which recently added it) have the background feature without needing to use a green screen. Hope this will be available soon as more and more people are looking into different options for video conferencing. This is a really good feature to have, especially when people want privacy and don't want to show their actual location background.

    I would LOVE a feature where I could change my background! It would make video chatting much more entertaining and enjoyable in these tough times!

    I was just thinking the same. I'm using Discord for online teaching. I totally love it and so do the students. This background idea would be perfect! Especially if it doesn't require a green screen, Zoom has one like that. You can upload any image you like to it. It hides the mess in your room or the dodge posters on your walls or whatever. Plus it looks really cool.

    I hope it works. By the way, Discord is bad-ass!

    Yes - I agree, I was looking for this feature in Discord and Google brought me here.
    I would use it when I DM on Roll20 so that I could have a nicely themed background.

    Thumps up for suggesting this... but I would have thought it was already build into Discord.

    Totally agree! This needs to be in discord. It would make showing off things you learn't about your green screens soo much easier. Plus it's already in some other things like zoom so it would be nice for it to be in discord.

    This would be a lot of fun in Discord! More often my friends and I are on discord just to chat so this would make it a lot cooler

    Seriously. Take the hit, spend the cash, get the greenscreen tech installed. And not that crappy StreamYard tech, I mean the Zoom level greenscreen tech. Chop chop; the discord is undulating.

    If you already do that, it would also be nice to add a png, jpeg, video or gif as a background. That also takes it to a high level. Zoom already has this function.

    Maybe you can also add and improve that with the OBS virtuel cam? That also brings a very cool kick.

    Please add some kind of feature to allow us to utilize having a green screen! This would be game changing as a content creator, teacher, student and for entertainment purposes etc...
