Why can't we see deleted messages on the audit log?

It would help moderators assess a situation better even after something happens, and we would be able to see in more detail why and what a person said.

    In reality you are able to get a bot that is able to keep track of that
    If ya want me to you could link the server to me and op me once i join then i could set it up real quick(if you dont have a bot that is able to do that function then i will invite it) then it allows to help in moderating cause it saves what messages were deleted via user/bot(bot can del messages if a clear/purge command is used

    The Audit Log specifically logs actions. And should be kept that way. A bot got this covered. Simple bots like MEE6 or Dyno already have a feature like this built in.
