Ability to clone categories and their permissions.
We should be able to have an option where you can copy categories and their permissions. Pretty much like channels. To make a new category and keep adding the roles and keep adding permissions may be annoying, and may hurt your hands, not gonna lie. Why make a new entire category when you can copy it and edit a few permissions? It would help server builders enormously. You guys there must add this.

I agree with this. About 20 minutes can be saved for me just by being able to copy categories.

i think we should expand it a tiny bit more. I think there should be an option to copy anything, Roles, categories and text channels and they can have it at the bottom of the permissions menu on anything, a "sync with" and then let us choose a specific voice/text channel if that is outside of a category. The categories will have the ability to sync with another category, same with roles, one role can sync with another role etc!!!

Categories have unique IDs. That gives me an idea, and it's such a good idea I'm sure it exists, but know neither where nor how to find it.
There should be a bot that can receive a command along these lines:
[bot syntax][sync categories command] [ID of category with desired permissions] for [[ID(s) of category/ies to match permissions settings to those of the prime category]]If I find one, I'll mention it.

All that would be need is the option to sync channel permissions to that of another channel or category (Other that it's parent folder).

Yes good point! There should be a way to sync/clone this like it is possible with channels! I made and maintaine two discord servers and it would be a blessing :)

I am part of a Call of War role play community which the original poster looks like he would be playing one. Well we usually archive games because if we need to go back and find some details we can do that but I have another server where we dedicate to building previews of our developing features and having to copy and paste categories that have 6 to 10 channels with information inside of them is hard to copy them 5 times in the core server.

- Nations list/text
- UN discussions/text
- National profiles/ Forums
- Treaties/ text
- War declarations
And a lot of these have information that needs to be copy and pasted while others need to be readjusted every game. And there are many channels that are needed which are not present every time. The biggest issue is having to replicate this format every time around 5 times which takes up a whole lot of time.
We need the ability to copy channels and categories plus the ability to archive categories when they are not needed.
