Let admins edit other user's messages
Let the server owner edit messages posted by other users.
Give the server owner the ability to allow, like, mods/admins to edit the messages of other people, too.

Not a good idea, it could be used to get people banned from discord.
Meaning, whoever can edit others messages can make it say stuff like 'I'm 11' or 'I'm actually 60'.

Violation of human rights. Human Rights give us the ability to speak out and share our opinions. Doing this will result in altering or censoring the member's ability to speak.

You know how there's that little note at the bottom-left of an edited message? It says "(edited)".
What you're saying could be remedied by changing that to "(edited by insertAdminUsernameHere)". Seen forums implement this. With that note there, the server owner/admin would be better off ignoring the new editing feature entirely and just pulling up Photoshop.

That's already possible (to a much more effective degree, too) via deletion of messages, mutes and bans, though.
If you also take into consideration the addition of the "(edited by insertAdminUsername Here)" note at the bottom, it'll be easy to tell if the server owner/admin is clowning around. Anyone averse to freedom of speech would be better off just resorting to deletion, mutes and bans as they probably already were doing if they really are so trigger-happy with censorship.0 -
This would be a useful feature. We are using pinned messages and special readonly rooms for communication about ongoing events.
Right now only the original poster can edit in updates, having a user group being able to edit in a specific room would be a great help for this kind of use case.2 -
Perhaps you can opt in to "Let this message be editable", or you give permission to certain users/admins.
