Re-enable email notifications

I know this has been posted many times before but dear god it's 2020 and there still isn't an option to re-enable email notifications for when i'm away. Only reason i disabled it was because i thought i could re-enable it if i needed to, there wasn't even a warning about not being able to re-enable it.

    I was literally just looking into this. Right now I want to turn off notifications, but what if I want them back later? Discord, please please, please update this feature!

    I was just looking into this too. There are half a dozen threads with several upvotes each asking for this feature, the oldest one being from 2018, so they know people have been wanting it for a while. Why haven't they implemented it, then? I seriously don't get it. It can't be because it's hard to do, because it isn't. So why don't they want to do it? Do they want to force us to stay on the app all day so we don't miss any notifications? Cause they're only making people switch to more reliable apps. I don't even want the emails for missed notifications, I just want to have receipts of the direct messages I receive, like on Twitter. Please stop dragging this problem out more than necessary and just fix it already. Thanks.

    I didn't know when I turned off my email notifications that there was no way to turn them back on!

    Every website or app I have ever used has the ability to re-subscribe to emails - except for this one. I suspect that they aren't fixing this because they can't - it should be simple but it likely exposes a massive flaw in their systems.

    I am chiming in here as well, being quite frustrated with not being able to receive email notifications from our gaming channel in discord. Ram from discord was quite apologetic in informing me today that I wouldn’t be able to re enable email notifications after opting out when I first created my account. What?? I have no recollection of ever doing that. I suppose I must have, but the only thing I can think of is that if I was asked the question, it came across as ‘do I want constant unwanted advertisements from discord and third party customers” as opposed to ‘tell me when my gaming friends have posted something.”
    And the fact that multiple people have posted this request over the last three years doesn’t give me much hope discord has any plans to change this. I guess they aren’t as good at computer programming as they say they are
