Multiple Moderation Improvement Suggestions
Hi Discord,
Some background I moderate a few discords ranging from 300 members up to 12,000 members so I've done my fair share of moderating. A lot of the features you've implemented have been immensely helpful in the administrative tasks. Listed below is some features that would be extremely helpful.
You could put this all under an advanced option as I think that Discord should be kept simple but also be expandable.
Analytics - An option to enable analytics which you can view in a panel. Preferably a graph showing the growth of the server and how many members have been lost/gained in the last 24h, 1w, 1m & 1y. It's a lot easier than using third party tools and is helpful when trying to grow communities to track this.
Emoji Ban - Admittedly I may be a minority here but that's fine. I'm not a fan of all the default emojis in some servers the end up getting overused. I'm aware you can disable emojis but I'd like the option to ban particular emojis of the default list.
Better Logging - Discord logging is less than ideal for understanding what occurred on the server. Often resulting in third party bots having to pick up the slack. For example if a message is sent it should include the message id,user id, what the message contained and if it was deleted by someone and if it was by who. If messages were edited it should include the previous info and what it was changed to. I'm sure you can check some of the other bots that do this very well such as Dyno or Logger.
Warning
There should be a system so that you're able to warn users and it's stored in a database so that other moderators can check the warnings given and what rules were violated.
Custom Command Section
A small section on the Discord panel for administrators in which they can setup shortcuts. Such as /role @User Role to assign them a role. Or setup other basic actions.
I hope to hear back from the Discord team. :)
