I've wanted this since folders were released, so I made a prototype! I'd love this to be added, as managing notification settings for every server is a huge headache

  Having the ability to change notification styles based on what folder the servers are placed in is an amazing request. +1 mate.

  now I have to go to a dozen servers and adjust each notification settings individually

  these settings are not set for me... I might start or stop listening for one or another depending on the wind and being able to easily change this would be super awesome

  alternatively, there can be a set of predefined settings (a template) that we could apply to a server in a single easy step

  It isn't clear what you're suggesting. You've wanted something for a long time because something else is a headache, but you haven't actually told anyone what it is you want yet.
