Notification that you're muted when trying to speak

A notification that displays when you try to speak and you're muted would be a nice feature, possibly only for push to talk since background noise could trigger. But I've been in a few settings I've been speaking for 2 - 3 minutes and did not realize I was muted.

    I like this idea.

    When a user speaks, their name lights up GREEN

    When muted, why not have it light up RED?
