Error: Cannot find module "discord_desktop_core"

I've stopped all processes of discord in task manager, deleted both folders in the roaming and local folder, and uninstalled it. I try to redownload it and I get the "discord_desktop_core" error, so then I delete it all again and try discord canary, but I still get the same error. I think it is a JavaScript issue that I am having, but I don't know how to fix it as I've tried all the discord error solutions that were easily accessible
Edit: I've also tried changing the config folder to a different version. Still hasn't worked for either
