Discord is a great thing. Don't ruin it with NFTs

Recent rumors and speculations are that the CEO of Discord wants to integrate some sort of NFT functionality for a future update, and I want to let everyone know that it would be incredibly damaging to the environment, as well as Discord's reputation. These large scale NFT projects do more harm than good, with the only good they serve being a way for rich people to flaunt all the money they supposedly have. It creates a toxic mindset of how art is appreciated, as several NFTs have stolen work from artists without guilt or shame. It is not something we as a Discord community want to see happen to our app, and no amount of money that NFT would supposedly bring in to the company would be worth it. No NFTs mean more people would want to stay and use the app and pay for Nitro and server boosters. If you really want to keep your well established audience and reputation, please do not enact this NFT initiative.
