Can't get into account because of phone verification, and discord won't help.

Hello everyone. I just recently made an account, but found that discord locked me out after I registered, and that verifying my email did nothing. I contacted them, and the first thing I got was an automated message. That was fine, and I just told them that I had no phone number to hand over because I had no phone/phone number in the first place. And the response I got? That they WOULDN'T lift it or help me because they said that the system had detected that I had a proxy or VPN. Problem though, I don't have a VPN, and I have no idea what a proxy is. If you can't tell, I am not very happy. Can anyone help me, or am I just completely out of luck? PLEASE help if you can
