Role pings which expire after a certain time limit

In many of the Discord servers I help manage, they're for communities who would benefit from some sort of Looking For Group (LFG) channel. When you make a LFG channel, the posts are only relevant for so long. You don't want to remove them, as someone could see it and DM the person to arrange a time for a future date. However, you probably want them to ping a role, say @[topic lfg] . But for anyone gone when that ping gets sent out, it would better if it was no longer a ping.

Could there be a way to mark a role for "Temporary Pings Only", where any pings to a specific role will be nullified X hours/days after they were made, without removing the message?
