I would like the option to hide users similar to that to blocking. You no longer have to see their messages or notifications from them but it does not have the ramifications of the other person knowing they are hidden. Unlike blocking where they know they are a blocked because they cannot react to your comments. Simply because they are on the hide list, '1 message was hidden from you.'
