Verified servers are for businesses, brands, and public figures. Such businesses and brands are already receiving the opportunity to have a banner on their other social platforms (Facebook, Twitter) with which they can make their platforms more attractive to their supporters and fans, and express themselves in a wide way.

But in Discord, a verified server does not look attractive without a server banner.
