draft message text delete after connection error message

In the middle of typing a rather lengthly message, my laptop happened to be offline, then I was presented with a full screen that said "did you know, you can...". This might have been a neat thing to display while my connection was offline or something, but when the screen went away, my typed text had vanished. 

Vanishing text or lost typing was the 90s. In 2021 I expect everything I type to be protected.
