New UI makes role pings invisible or very difficult to see within a certain color range.

Exactly what the title says, with the new UI, pings become almost invisible within a certain color range. This example uses #4b443b, which is the exact same color as the ping background highlight, which is why it's completely invisible.

 

This is a serious accessibility flaw. I'm not really sure how this even really passed QA, but here we are. Please either revert the changes or add an outline and/or background to pings again.

  yeah its pretty clear that the new UI devs thought this was a kids app or some garbage

  I'm using dark mode and have the opposite problem - the pings are far too bright for me and hurt to look at. Something definitely needs to be fixed here. Ideally just revert back to the previous.
