Webcam not working on new update [Mac iOS]

When joining a video call, my MacBook Pro's webcam freezes after one second after having joined the call. Using my iphone as a webcam works fine, no problem, but the actual camera on the laptop refuses to work with the video call feature.

I have tried closing and re-opening discord. Turning the laptop off and on again did not work either.
