My Discord account was stolen, and I'm trying to get it back. I'm still being charged for Nitro.
Hello Discord,
My name is David, and about a month ago, I was the victim of some widespread identity theft. A number of accounts were taken from me, including my Discord account, and the email and password were both changed against my will. I host and admin for a number of Discord servers and communities, so this was honestly pretty devastating. I'm also a paid Nitro subscriber, and I'm still being charged for the account in question.
I created a support ticket about a month back (44146211), but I haven't received a response yet. Out of desperation, I've replied to the email a couple of times, which I fear may have delayed my ticket. I understand that the support team is probably swamped with requests, and I greatly respect your time.
I just wanted to make a post here in the hopes that someone might see it? I've provided as much proof of my identity as I can, including my Driver's License, PayPal, and the phone number the account is still linked to.
I don't give up easily, so if this doesn't work, I'll just try again. I just would like this issue resolved, and my account returned to me. Should I keep waiting, should I make a new ticket, or is there someone I can speak with for help?

Have you spoken to your bank about this? You could try cancelling your Direct Debit account details, and this might result in your Nitro being cancelled.
But as for being refunded for the money you lost, I think the only thing to do is to make a Support request.
I have been waiting for 2 weeks now, and I'm basically in the same situation that you are in now.
Discord Support really are infuriatingly bad.1 -

I haven't reached out to my bank about doing any chargebacks yet.
(Previously, my Wells Fargo account was one of the accounts that got stolen, so getting that one back was a bit of a priority. Thankfully, WF has pretty good Identity Theft protection, so everything's good now.)
I've sort of just been hoping that Discord Support would come through, so I've just been waiting. Unfortunately, I might resort to it if I don't get any response in the next month or so. I didn't really think it would take this long.

Update! I got it back! I ended up needing to make a new ticket, with much more organized proof and information.
