Absurd phone verification requirements and zero help from support.
Discord has arbitrarily decided to require a phone verification. I do not have a phone. They have falsely claimed that some sort of suspicious activity occurred from my account but refuse to elaborate further. Nothing abnormal or suspicious has occurred. I have logged in from the same place with the same hardware for over a year. I have not used a VPN. I have not contacted anyone I don't know and have not spammed messages in any way.
Support is absolutely worthless. They do nothing but give trite, irrelevant responses and then mark the request as solved. Your automated system for detecting harmful accounts is a failure. Your support system is a failure. This is my feedback.

I agree that the phone verification requirements are "absurd" - or perhaps I
would use other words like "excessive" and "counter productive". I would like
to use Discord to keep in touch with my web friends when I travel; but Discord
makes this so difficult I often just give up. It is a modern problem:
Too Much Security. I wish they would just trust you that if you know the password,
you are probably the user.0
