Waste of space UI design

Why on earth is the damn server name now ALWAYS at top in a special top bar, when I can already see the server I'm in on the sidebar AND I can also use the OTHER sidebar with all the servers?

Did you take the lessons of wasting screen space from Twitch mobile and Windows?

Oh and the tiny inbox thingy is now a tiny tiny tiny pimple riiiight up in the top right next to the ? help symbol in this waste of space top bar. Just, why? 

What is the purpose of inventing this waste of space for useless information (information OF information we already get on the sidebar) and needlessly detatch the inbox and help buttons from what was with the other extra functions (search, pin etc)?

Such a useless “update” to things.
