[Feedback] New UI Feedback 2025

In my opinion, Discord's new UI has several drawbacks. Here are a few points to consider:

1. Familiarity is key:

We're already accustomed to the old UI, which is effective and easy to use. Creating a new one may not be necessary, as it could disrupt our user experience.

2. Adaptation period

Even if the new UI is improved, users will need time to adapt to its changes. This transition period can lead to negative feedback and frustration.

3. Layout and design

Compared to the old UI, the new one appears too wide and unwieldy, even in compact mode. The old design was more compact and visually appealing.

4. User dissatisfaction

Many Discord users have already expressed their discontent with the new UI, as evident in the screenshots from the Discord Town Hall. Taking these concerns into account, it may be beneficial to consider reverting to the previous UI.

These screenshots, taken from the Discord Town Hall, have member names and avatars obscured for privacy. As you can see, the new UI update has been met with significant backlash from many Discord users. In response to user feedback, it may be beneficial to consider reverting to the previous UI.
