Age account deletion.

So I was just recently banned for joking about being under 13 and requested to be re-enabled. They asked for a selfie but I am 13 and obviously I'm not gonna have a photo ID, and without being able to provide a photo id I am unable to be re enabled and I am being marked for deletion. I know I am able to make a new account and I have but isn't that dumb that I am literally having my account deleted even though I am 13 and provided evidence. I feel as if you are above 13 you should be allowed to be on discord and shouldn't need a photo ID.

    When you're 13 you are allowed, but you made the choice to make a joke about your age and that server is making the choice to not take you at your word now that you are of an age of compliance with Discord's ToS. I would do the same thing in my server. If you want to be treated like you're mature enough to be on the internet, then step up and be mature enough; don't act like a 12 year old, you won't be treated like one.

    I understand your point and your perspective but I wanna touch base on a few things real quickly. First, I had left the discord within 1 hour. I had never made it past verification and left. I never caused any ill intent nor did I communicate with others. Second of all, plenty of people constantly joke that they're twelve on the internet. I know it's extravagant but the whole 9 year old thing with PewDiePie. It's a group of people saying they're twelve when they are clearly joking. If I need to be clear that I'm joking that I'm 12 that just seems outrageous to me.

    There is an age limit of 13. Joke about being 12, risk being taken seriously. It's not complicated. Perhaps a concept you'll understand more in 5 or 10 years.

    If you say something racist and follow it with "just kidding", you still run the risk of being removed for racist comments. Obviously that's not what you did here, but it's the same concept.
