New Unread Number not appearing

I think this might be because I am using the PTB version of Discord client but I am not getting the notification of how many unread messages I have on the icon in my taskbar for Discord. Is this normal ?
The things I DO infact get are the following
- All sounds when missing posts sent to me
- Images when sent or sending
What I am NOT getting
- Unread notification on Discord icon in taskbar
I even have the icon to SHOW unread notification, and yet it does not
