Customisable Date and Time
-
After some updates it seemsl like CompleteTimestamps plugin now works again.

changing locale to change time format is totally not a solution. you either should follow system time format settings configurable in windows settings or provide your own toggle for time format.

Why hasn't this been fixed yet? ..this thread is over 4 years old and counting.
Come on Discord! This is almost embarrassing you have not fixed this yet.
Simple time / date customization (and NOT tied to language settings - Why/WHO thought this was a good idea? smh)4 -
Bumping! I use 24-hour clock on my device and Discord using a separate format is very jarring and confusing.

BUMP - How has this not been addressed yet? This is basic human communication / comprehension stuff. It's just as important as a language. We shouldn't have to struggle to read a date - we should be able to have it in the format our brain has been trained to read through our entire lifetime. More than slightly disappointed to find SO many threads on this and still there's no way to fix this basic human language requirement?

so we have shitty numeric list feature implemented and no time format option..
tbh way numeric list is working is one another level joke.. but I bet it will be eventually fixed and yet we still have no option to chose time format..3 -
This should not be something hard to do, considering both ways of displaying the time already exist. Just remove the limitations, or somethin along those lines... It's a basic thing that should've been considered when they first implemented the goddamned time formatting system...

This is possible, simply go to Settings > Language > English (UK)
-5 -
_w41k3r that's a workaround, not a solution
2 -
georgewl it seems like a solution to me since English UK seems to solve the time and date issue. Also there is no diff between the language for english uk and US
-4 -
_w41k3r It sets both time AND date, though. I want to be able to use DD/MM/YYYY without being forced to use the twenty-four hour clock. It's a small complaint, but really ridiculous that they're not separately changeable.

UK and US English are not the same. Spellcheck uses your discord language so it will red squiggles on every word that Brits spell with an s instead of a z. It gets really annoying and makes spellcheck useless.
2 -
Ha, you just start spelling words like “colour” because the autocorrect changes it
-1 -
Also it does nothing to help with the much needed support for ISO 8601 standard date with 24 hour time format.
4 -
This workaround also doesn't help if you use any language other than English. There's only one Spanish option, so if you use Discord in Spanish your only option is DD/MM/YYYY.
3 -
5 years and this is still missing? How hard could it be to implement it? Just separate the language from the locale.
2 -
It should follow whatever is configured for the date and time formatting in Windows. Having this separate from the OS is bad.

3 years later (just for me), for what is a simple UI change
1 -
Most forum software had this feature 25 years ago. A shame that some discussions are only on discord.
2 -
One should be able to change UI language independently of date/time format. As a Swede I prefer to run everything in [American] English, but still use the ISO 8601 standard format (YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss).

If you're not going to respect system settings, provide your own settings. How is this still not fixed?
