Discord is really intrusive when it starts
So basically, here's the deal :
I am installing an update, Discord closes and Discord Updater opens to install the update.
Once the update has been installed, Discord sorta opens ; it's basically a dark blueish (dark theme color) window that opens, when it does, it opens in front of what I had open (a game most of the time).
Then, after a while, Discord Updater closes and Discord actually starts, and when doing so, it starts in front of what I had open, again (not usually a game this time, except when I was doing something important in it).
This is really intrusive, I wish Discord would start in the background so it doesn't interrupt what I am doing, otherwise I have to stop and wait for the update to finish installing and Discord to properly start.

Hi there! If you'd like to have Discord open automatically without getting in the way, head into User Settings > Windows Settings and you can turn on Start Minimized which should do the job for you. Or if you'd rather, you can turn off auto-launch completely from the same place. 0 -
You are suggesting to start up discord in the background. If I recall correctly, this is already included under your platform settings [Discord settings -> (macOS / Linux / Windows) Settings > Start minimized] 0 -
I don't have these settings on Linux :/

Those settings only seem to apply if you have Discord start up automatically; the Start Minimized setting doesn't do anything if I start Discord myself.

I also use linux. If I am playing a game (or doing something and i start Discord, it pops up a silly starting message ("caching the crows" or some such nonsense) over the top of everything, in the middle of the screen. and you can't close it or move it out of the way!
Stop doing that!!!!0
