Sharing only a portion of the screen

An option to chose only a part of the screen to be shared (as when selecting area to screenshot with the snipping tool) to avoid sharing certain information like what's on the taskbar, or notification area.

This would also enable only sharing one screen in linux using this feature.

  And it would help screen sharing with a high resolution display.

  I have a 4k display, and I cannot share it, because the others have only fullHD, and the max streaming resolution is also HD/fullHD. If I share my whole screen, the text will be unreadable. To avoid this, I have to share only a window, what I can resize to e.g. quarter of the screen. But what happens when I want to show something what includes multiple windows? I have to switch them every time, (E.g code - browser - code - browser) So annoying ...

  Yeah, exactly. Streaming with 4k is currently very painful and you have to switch between several smaller windows all the time. Having this feature would actually put Discord ahead of many competitors for me, because none of the common screen sharing tools I know of have a solution to that problem (see Teams, Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).

  This is a great feature too, especially when your screen is very wide and it makes it hard for viewers to see.
