Friend Request Notification Badges

There needs to be an option to disable notification badges for friend requests. Often you will not want to remove a request but then it always shows you as having a large number of notifications in discord. If you could completely disable friend badges (or even friend request notifications completely) it would be very helpful. Another option would be to be able to mark the requests as read so it doesn't show up as a notification.

    I'd really like to have this option, there are certainly times when I'd like to get rid of the badges without necessarily rejecting the friend request.

    I went to great lengths to tweak the notification settings of all my servers so I would rarely if ever get random pings.

    I'd prefer marking the requests as read. It can just be automatic. You open the friend requests tab, the badge should go away, regardless of if you accept or decline them. Although your primary idea would be best for any well-known personalities or brands that get hundreds or thousands of random friend requests. I have the best solution to that dilemma though: [whynotboth.gif]

    +1 to this suggestion I would really like to see this as a feature on Discord. Sometimes someone randomly sends a friend request on discord but I would rather like to take the time to know them better before accepting or denying the friend request, however, the constant notification counter because of their request floating is undesireable personally. Seems like a small enough change.

    I would really appreciate this feature. I am constantly getting new friend requests and it rings my notifications, but at the same time, I do not want to decline the friend request because I want to know the user before accepting a friend request. To change your friend request notifications, you would go to your settings and go to the Notifications tab. Then, you would change your Friend Request Notifications to on or off. Thank you for reading this, I hope this becomes the next Discord feature!

    +1! There's someone who I don't want contacting me who keeps sending me a friend request. If I dismiss it, they'll send another, and it's really annoying to just have the red 1 floating in space.

    vouch- I want a clean discord look with as few notifications as possible. More detailed notification settings would be awesome!

    +1 ... Please. It's weird to me that you can mute notifs for literally everything else, but not this.
