Lowering bitrate

Wouldn't you appreciate to be able to go lower that 8 Kb/s in bitrate in voice channels? When you're at 8 Kb/s it already sounds like you're on XBOX 360, but just for the fun, wouldn't it be nice to be able to go down to 1 or 2 Kb/s?

This of course isn't a serious feature, but some might appreciate it.

  I don't know that you are talking about. 8 kb/s is a perfectly reasonable bandwidth for talking. It does sound fine. Yeah for sure for music you would want at least double that but for speech it's okay.
  
  Otherwise it's already implemented. You can go as low as 1 kb/s in the channel-settings.

  kbps refers to kilobits per second, and kB/s refers to kilobytes per second (usually identified with capital "B".) 8 bits is 1 byte and that's important to remember.
