Support for markdown in channel descriptions.

Currently you can bold channel descriptions, but I think it would be nice if other markdown options such as underlining, italics, and strikethrough were also supported. Code-blocks may not make sense since it will mess with the theme though.

I'm not sure about adding Markdown to channel topics. They're meant to be a quick summary of what a channel is for and I don't see a need to go beyond that. -3 -
Hi!
I'd like to open this back up, as I'm currently unable to successfully Italic text in channel topics. When clicking on the topic (and that little box pops up), I'm actually able to see Italics. But when just looking at the channel topic through the channel view (it's on the top then), Italic does not work.
