Professional Servers: Unique Per-Server Identification, DM Audits, & Admin options (similar to Slack)
A major feature that's core to Slack, but not available in Discord, is the ability to create and simultaneously log into distinct identities on each server. That is to say, a profile can be set up with zero visible connection to other Slack profiles maintained by the same user, but both can be open and provide notification functionality through the same open app or browser. This feature is extremely helpful in the workplace, where distinction between professional and personal identities is a must.
It also provides for top admins the ability to audit all chat transcripts that happen between that server's users. While normally it's important to keep such data private, having access to those conversations is vital for investigating harassment, abuse, and potential illegal activity. Many workplaces, particularly government institutions, have to conform to legal standards where such records must be potentially accessible, even if they aren't regularly monitored.
I'd love to see the option in Discord to create a Professional Server configuration in this manner, as it also has applications outside the workplace. Games and communities that want to provide anonymity, for instance, could fully integrate with Discord, and users wouldn't have to log out (and back in again) to provide a buffer between their primary Discord identity and their server-unique identity.
Additionally, users could be added to this specific server without going through the invite process. Likewise, invitations to the server could come with a PIN unique to the intended user; accepting the invite and using that PIN would link the core Discord user only to the specific per-server identity created for them.
