Please allow auto-collapse of channel pane.
A vast majority of the servers I utilize only have one channel that I care about.
There's so much wasted horizontal space that serves no real purpose for some users. A notification badge on the server lets you know there's a message waiting for that server. A notification badge to let you know that another channel on the active server has a waiting message seems reasonable - that badge can then be tied to muted/unmuted channels so for single-channel servers I'll get no badge if I'm in the only channel unmuted. This will allow for a clean, minimalist interface preventing Discord from taking up more screen real estate than it needs.
Given the size I keep my Discord window open, the Servers and Channels sidebar takes up ~40% of the application width, all for something that is unnecessary for my usage.

If you are saying that we need to let server owners or admins or @everyone use a auto-collapse for channels then i totally agree.

I downloaded discord and started using it today - and this was the first thing I did a google search on as I couldn't find a button to minimise it.. It's silly to take up all that space permanently!
