Huge surge of spam bots

Recently, there has been a huge surge of spam bots joining; and not just in any servers I'm an admin for, also big servers like the Lazy Developers discord is dealing with them.

The reason for this post is to bring it to Discord's attention, and maybe also to let any other moderators/admins know that you're not the only ones.

Their tags seem to be a generic name followed by a couple numbers. E.G.

They are also always new to Discord, meaning they were probably just created.
Now, I don't know how you can differentiate between this and a regular user, otherwise I'd update my Discord.js bots to auto-ban them. But nevermind that.

This is currently a big issue and I see it only growing if there's not something done about it.

This is getting out of hand.
I'm constantly monitoring the logs for my server, and we get quite a few on a daily basis.

We need some more ways to prevent new accounts from joining besides the 5 minute one.
