Custom Status Doesn't Work

I have one server in which the custom status feature is available. If I set a custom status, it will remove any other status (like playing a game) from being visible unless you click on my username to see my profile where the game status is still displayed. It causes this to occur in all servers I am in even if they don't have the custom status feature enabled yet. The custom status I set also does not appear in the server with it enabled or any other server. Basically, setting a custom status in one server removes any status in all servers, including the one where I set the custom status.
