Screenshare allowed mutliple screens to be shared between users for more than just gaming. Yes discord is gamer focused, but it has an adaptable audience that is bigger than gaming alone where there are artists, developers, designers, and just nerdy friends. I am part of a small server of friends where not only have we switched back and forth between screenshares to share stories and art that we appreciate, shared new and interesting games that we play, but we were actually able to video chat with one another and make stronger connections.

Trading in something with 5+ features for something that has about 2 of them and way more limitations is not an improvement. This is a communication app in line with Skype as a product, all because the audience is more niche doesn't mean that you remove a significant feature of what your product provides. Written, verbal, and video communication is what discord provides, and this has been a drastic step back on the video front. 

Limit the amount of people who can be in a shared stream at once, or the amount of streams to share for the sake of what is feasible, but this app has turned into the equivalent of messenger without Facebook posts because of server screenshares being removed.
