A way to see where notifications (that aren't pings) are coming from

Currently I have some specific channels set to "all messages" for notifications. However, on desktop when I hear the notification sound I still have no idea where that notification came from, meaning I have to hunt through all the channels I remember turning it on for to find it. What if we had a sort of blue unread message indicator that served this purpose and indicated where you have a new message in a channel with all notifs on?
