Boost advertising is deceptive and misleading

The advertising campaign for Boosts do not make it at all clear that what you are paying for is not permanent.

 

Think about it conceptually -- leveling up a server. Most gamers have a concept in their mind of leveling up being a permanent thing -- not something that can be taken away if there are not enough members choosing to sub for the month.

 

I would argue that it is entirely deceptive and misleading advertising, and urge the Discord PR team to re-write their copy to make it more abundantly clear what it is that the customers are truly paying for when they "Boost" a server -- should probably be called "Rented Boost" instead.

  It was pretty clear to me what boosts were the first time I read it. And if you don't do enough research on what you spend your money on, then that's on you.
