Discord jumps to front while starting (how to stop it?)

When i boot up discord it takes a while to start up, no problem, i can understand, but in the mean time i often go to do something else, like answering a message on steam or something.
But halfway through this, discord has begun to run and rudely jumps to the front of everything and takes the focus. this is quite annoying..
because of this i lose keystrokes and i just dont want this, other programs don't do this, so why should discord?
there is a setting to make discord "start in the background and stay out of your way like a good boy" but for some reason this setting is only available when the setting to "let discord greet you when you come home like a good boy".
In other words, you can only let discord boot up in the background if you also let it boot up as soon as you start your computer.
this stuff has been really bothering me (probably more than it should).

so here is my question: "dear developers of discord, would you PLEASE let discord start in the back even when it doesn't start up together with windows".
