Viewing Multiple Channels at Once

Just as a preface, I'd like to mention that everything I'm mentioning in this post is in regards to the desktop app version of Discord.

Short description: I suggest a feature be added to Discord which would allows users to "pop out" channels or guilds, or split-screen 2 or more channels or guilds in order to allow users to view multiple channels at once. This feature could potentially be accessible by an option found when right-clicking on each channel.

I support this feature for a number of reasons:
1. For server moderators or admins of servers with many channels, it's often difficult to watch multiple channels at a time due to high activity and a need for constantly changing channels in order to see what's going on. Being able to view multiple channels at once would be very beneficial and streamline the process of keeping larger communities secure, which I believe is very important.

2. Another issue there is is when playing a game people often have discord open on their second monitor. However, only being able to view one channel at a time means they will have to constantly alt-tab from their game to see what's going on with other channels or guilds when there is a notification. 

3. In servers with announcement channels, it would be easier to keep track of announcements if the channel is directly in front of you, rather than having to click over towards it or use a webhook to connect one channel to another.

I believe that this feature will not only resolve the issues listed above, but also be a well-received and widely-used feature for many users.

    It would be nice to have this feature. We are able to join 100 servers but view one at a time is limiting. It would be really useful to follow multiple conversations at once. Also adding a visualized explanation.

    Good Idea, I like it and agree with it. I understand about the App but if you use google you could also split screen it.
