Channel Jump-links

In most servers, discussions of a certain topic have to be done in a certain channel. And many times, when the discussion strays to a different topic, people have to move to a different channel--cutting the conversation halfway. 

I know you can easily jump to a different channel when someone sends a #channel-name message... but it would be nice if there was a specific jump link feature that links the end of a certain convo in Channel A to its continuation in Channel B.

Sometimes when I back-read messages on a certain channel, I find myself lost when the people suddenly move to a different channel and continue their conversation there. When I try to catch up with them on the different channel, I have to scroll back a lot to find where exactly they continued from where they left off... and it's really a hassle.
