Hiding roles from member list

I have a server where the bot role is hoisted above regular members. While this is useful for newcomers trying to figure out what bots are in, it is annoying for me (the owner) and possibly other members who wish to see the member list without bots.
My suggestion is that we allow individual roles to be hidden. So instead of
Bots - 35
  [bot #1]

  [bot #2]

  [bot #3]

Members - 100
  [Member #1]

  etc

If we click a button next to the "Bots" role, then we can hide the bot accounts. It will now look like

(+) Bots - 35

(-) Members - 100

  [Member #1]

  etc

  I TOTALLY agree that discord needs to introduce "hidden roles" for a MULTITUDE of reasons. That said, regarding your specific query: 
  why not just drag the "bots" role below member roles in role management? 
  That should move the role to the bottom of the member list as well, assuming you haven't assigned those bots additional roles that would now be visually above the role of "bots." If you *have* assigned them additional roles, however, then those specific bots will now appear in the "online" list for the highest relevant role above them.
  
  ...right?
  I could be wrong. I'm new at this.
