How to remove an update to discord that removes the function?

Latest update to discord for win 7  removed the function so all I receive is a black screen. I am told per tech that there is nothing they can do to fix it at the present however no one has indicated to me how to remove this update since Discord worked fine before. Would appreciate steps to remove please. Thank you.
