Delayed sounds
Yello umm i'm having a problem where when i have the sound affects on for the different actions like connecting to a channel and disconnecting moving to and being moved from one are all delayed for about 2 to 3 seconds before they sound
-
So I think by now we've all determined that we all have one thing in common; a Corsair headset. I myself have just the standard virtuoso and also have the same problem. Hope discord and corsair can fix this issue

I got same issue too. I bought cosair void elite and this problem show on. My icue version is 3.27.68

This is a compatibility problem from discord since it is not happening with iCue only.

Also got Corsair headphones with iCue installed, but the problem started after I got the Corsair VOID Elite headset, so not directly linked to iCue.
I had iCue installed from months before without any issues (Got a Corsair keyboard), but I got this issue after I changed headset.
Putting Discord in comp.mode for W7 "fixed" it though, with an annoying white line at the top of the screen when in fullscreen. Not sure what's worse.
Some sort of feedback on this thread would be appreciated.

Wixxi i dont have the words to thank you my discord is perfect with the sounds and i dont have the white line at the top, ty so much for sharing the information!

Wixii the only way to fix the white lines on top would be to just stretch it instead of maximizing, Discord has it so then it glitches out on the compatibility mode, so you have to just maximize via dragging.

Switching Discord compatibility mode to Windows 7 fixed this for me right now.

I submitted a support ticket. The issue is being looked into. No resolution from support yet.

@SmackedDown did you ever get a response from corsair, also Andrei its def a problem from corsair, I as well as everyone else did not have the bug once we uninstalled iCue

I had a quick response from both Corsair and discord. They are aware and looking into the issue.

Thank you all so much the small sound delay was driving me nuts!

I wonder how much will it take for us to receive a proper fix in an update?

Just bought and started using some Virtuosos by Corsair w/ iCue glad to see I'm not alone - thanks for reporting the bug

I also had this problem when I bought my Corsair headset, it's definitely some issue related to the iCUE program. The Windows 7 Compatibility fix works for now.

I have had this bug for over a month now while using iCue 3.27.68 and the Corsair Gaming VOID RGB Elite Wireless headset.
I just updated to 3.28.70 and am still having the issue. I can run discord in compatibility mode with windows 7, but then there is an annoying white bar at the top and thin black bars around the edges of the discord application window. I would be fine with running discord in compatibility mode if there was a fix for the bars. I hope this gets fixed soon because it's very annoying and more distracting than useful. :/3 -
You can remove the bar at the top by using borderless gaming

I just recently got the Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless headset and have come across this issue as well. I have had the ICUE software installed on my machine for many months as I use this to control my RGB Ram, it only seems like getting this headset has caused this issue, it could be something to do with the drivers for the headset itself or the wireless dongle.
Running discord in win7 compatibility mode did fix this but for only a small period of time.
Has anyone done any testing with this?

I have this bug,Using Corsair Gaming VOID RGB Elite
win7 compatibility mode fix it but there is a white line that very annoying.
anyone can help?1 -
Hey everyone, thank you for your comments on this thread really helped me out, so in conclusion from reading all of this was to just put discord into Windows & compatibility mode (worked for me) only side effect is a white line at the top of the discord window if you can live with it its a great solution. Im sure we are just going to have to wait until corsair and discord comes up with a fix as some people in this thread already contacted them. But for those of you who have no clue on how to use discord in Win7 Comp mode, here is a quick tutorial.
Right-click discord and click properties. From there a window will open in which you go to the compatibility tab. Near the top, you will see "Run this program in compatibility mode" with a checkmark next to it, check the box and choose "Windows 7" in the drop-down menu. Once you have done that please click "apply" and "ok" then restart discord and your delay issue should be fixed. Remember there will be a white line at the top of the discord window but if you can live with it it's not that bad.

Looks like you can remove the white bar at the top of discord when running compatibility mode by unmaximizing the window and stretching it out to fullscreen manually.

hmmm, looks like after updating iCUE and restarting PC I'm still experiencing the discord notification SFX lag. interesting how there's extreme corsair representation in this thread, though.

I got my HS70 Wireless a week ago, and it's funny that in the box says "Discord certified" and then have this stupid bug, it's kind of annoying but it's ok... And sometimes it doesn't even play the join sound, when someone joins...

I have a Corsair Void Pro (whatever the name is), and it wasn't until about 3 months ago that I started experiencing this issue. Sometimes I hear people enter, other times I don't, or even other sounds are delayed. I don't understand. I don't want to run it in compatibility mode, and I like have the Corsair program installed for controlling my rgb in my computer.
How has this gone unsolved after so many users have complained about it? Regardless if there is a work around, this needs to be addressed. Users should be able to use their programs without lag, and having to find a work around. How annoying. Why do programmers these days not care about their software anymore? I just don't get it.

Any word on whether a fix is in the works for this? I'm in the same boat and that 2-3 second delay for connection/mute toggles is driving me crazy.

Running in windows 7/8 compatibility mode works for the audio delay but then i can no longer stream with audio to my friends, hope they find a fix soon.

Still having the same problem here. Widows 7 compatibility work around is not working for me. Corsair Virtuoso headset, windows 10.

Same problem on this end. Corsair Void RGB and having the notification sound delay. Tried multiple different settings in both Discord and ICUE and nothing has solved the problem for me.
