Here guys the final answer to this question, Yes as you might see theres an issue with the ICUE software, tottaly is that whats messing this UP.......... long story short, run the program as a windows 7 program also start it with admin rights, there you go, you also can delete the whole discord and Icue programs and folder, but this is way easier. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREATE XMAS

The post above made by @Gabo works for me!!! I also noticed that I didn't have to run discord in as an administrator in order for the bug to be fixed! My only change is changing to windows 7 compatibility. Does anyone now any disadvantages when running discord on windows 7 compatibility???
Edit: I noticed that windows 8 works as well without the annoying white bar at the top that used to be there. My question still remains if you guys have noticed anything else off. Happy Holidays

Swap to Compatibility mode for windows 8, it removes the delay and the bar at the top. Downy ty

I just got new headphones (Corsair Virtuso's) and this delay started happening after I installed the ICUE software. Im not sure how to fix this issue. The lag for joining a call is horrible and when u mute yourself and deafen then the lag is even worse.
HOW DO I FiX THiS!!

You fix this by reading literally 3 posts before yours, or anything in between for that matter.

that's literally not a fix, it's a work around

And? There isn’t a “fix” to this so that’s why there is a work around. Until Corsair fixes it, which they probably because it’s been going for a year, you either do the work around or you deal with it.

I hate how Corsair didn't fix it at all in the last 9 months. I just bought a Virtuoso and I really like it. This makes me think about giving it back to look for another headset. Unbelievable

Still no solution to this problem... Icue software version: 3.37.140

Swap to Compatibility mode for windows 8! I have Corsair and iCue, so delay is not my problem now

iCUE 3.35.152
Windows 8 Compatibility Mode works for me as well. Good work around.
Here is a link to a forum where someone gave a decent summary for what Compatibility Mode actually does. Could be worth starting here to see where the real issue lies.

Uninstall\Re-install might not do the trick since it looks like a lot of the files end up c:\users\%username%\appdata\roaming. Wonder if uninstall, delete appdata, clear registry, shortcuts would make a difference. Something like RevoUninstall could help.0 -
Can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet. Impressive. Truly impressive. I'm honestly getting fed up with Corsair. I have a Corsair mouse, keyboard, and just got a Corsair headset again for the first time since 2014. Seriously considering ditching ALL of it for Razer. Corsair's support sucks, their drivers suck, their software sucks, and now this problem that's been present for well over a year and still hasn't been fixed.

Yep 2021 and this is STILL a thing. It's either Corsair or Discord but either way they need to get this shit fixed. Win8 compatibility is a workaround (using 7 is just broken in certain scenarios, dunno about 8 yet) but that's not a solution and how this has been a thing for LITERALLY years and not fixed is beyond me.
Discord should be trying to get this fixed properly since they are the go-to app and it's broken with corsair products (although doesn't effect everyone w/ corsair headsets for whatever reason). All I know is unless it gets fixed I will 100% not buy another corsair product in the future.

Bruh the ironic thing is on the Corsair headphones box it says DISCORD CERTIFIED. Definitely not discord certified if this is still an issue for over a year!

I have a fix that worked for me. I re-ran the install tool, then chose repair. Restarted and the sound was fixed. Dunno if this will help anyone else.

I can't believe i'm still having this problem nearly a whole year later. At this point I don't know whether to blame Discord, Corsair or both.

pikachuzan Except this isn't a solution, it's a workaround, and it introduces other problems. It's also been posted several times in the thread. Guess nobody reads these things when they find them on Google.

Unfollowing thread as no one READS previous comments.. just repeating what has already been said

I realized other people are having the same problem as me. Let's hope that Discord and Corsair get this problem fixed or I'll have to buy a new headset. . .

Same issue just popped up again for me within the past week. Annoying af

If you are using a Bluetooth headset, try plugging the dongle into a USB 2.0 slot instead of a USB 3.0 slot. This permanently fixed my problem with the delayed discord sounds.

@Bradyy it did not work for me

I have opened a ticket to discord and linked this thread, maybe we are talking about the problem in the wrong place.
This is clearly not a problem from corsair because Discord is the only software were I personally experience this delay bug

It definitely *is* a Corsair problem and not a Discord problem. Before I gave up on my Corsair headset, this issue existed in multiple pieces of software I used. Even VOIP software was getting 15+ seconds of delay on rings, causing missed calls. Removing the Corsair software fixes the issue, while handicapping the features of the headset.
My advice: Get something else. Corsair doesn't seem to care about this issue, and running everything in compatibility mode is a band-aid, not a fix, and having to use a band-aid for over a year is just absurd. SteelSeries, Logitech, Razer - they have their own issues, sure, but nothing this ridiculous and ongoing.0 -
Just now my Void Wireless RGB had an Firmware update v0.08 and the delay seems gone.
Just in case, I also disabled "Preview emojis, mentions, and markdown syntax as you type" on the Text & Images due to another problem I had.1 -
you can change the compatibility mode to windows 7 and it will work great it worked for me

Eyad This non-solution has been posted here already many, many times. It's not a solution. It's a workaround which introduces its own set of new issues. Nobody bothers reading before posting, do they?

Please fix this. Even in compatibility mode it eventually falls back into old symptoms.

The issue is fixed with Icue 4.x
