An "Ignore" option would be great

I am not sure if there is such an option already, I have been looking around for it, unsuccessfully.

I am talking about the ability to "mute" messages from specific users in a server (Not DMs). Either a global/server ignore, or per channel.

Is there something like this in place? Or some features that can provide the same effect? Would the "Block" function do that or just stop the user from DMing me?
