Lock yourself out of servers for a period of time?
Anybody have a scenario such as this? Ok, you're trying to concentrate on your work and studies, and you decide to hop onto Discord to talk to a few friends or a loved one from time to time while studying so you can have a bit of company; however, instead what you've done is roped yourself into the rest of your servers, and accomplish nothing at all! What could you do to fix this? Well of course, you could stay off of Discord for the day, but you still want to talk to your loved ones. You could leave the problematically addictive servers, but then what if you want to join them after you're done doing what you're doing? That's why I proposed to be able to lock yourself out of servers for a custom period of time. You can stay in the servers, stay on Discord, and still be able to focus on your work in peace! If you've decided you're done prematurely, or you've forgotten something in the server, something like a selected passcode (toggle on or off) could probably work to enter a channel. Plus, there are no notifications from locked servers, and they're moved to a locked servers section that can't be accessed without a passcode (if at all) Idk how many others have this problem, but I have it EVERYDAY, and I really do not want to leave any servers, but I still want to talk to my lover while studying. That's all. The big distractions are those servers that have interesting discussions to the point I get sucked in and accomplish nothing much. I'm sure there are other people that experience something similar.
I apologize for the rushing. It's late at night and I decided I had enough of this and am hoping I can accomplish something here.
