Phone Verification
Phone number verification is bad in my opinnion. I cannot go into my alt account because Discord locked me out, wanting a phone number I cannot put in due to alreday having it verified on my other account. Mods refuses to take it off and saying that they can't as an excuse, Discord should put up so you can request a phone number verification removal on an account so you can use it on the other account, this is terrible and now I cannot be on my alt.
Gmailing Discord doesn't work nor fix the problem.

I cannot verify it sinc eI do not own a phone, and have been using discord on my laptop.

I have the same problem how can we request to remove a phone from another account when you are the owner of the phone number.

Discord really needs to either just use captcha which bots can't use or phone.

I lost my old account which has 2fa security so pls can you get my account back and I lost my backup codes of 2fa verification so pls help me.

I paid for a subscription which uses Discord. I began setting up an account a while back but never actually finished setting it up. I opened a new account (forgetting about the old one) and when I tried to verify the phone number, it wouldn't let me saying it was used on another account. Needless to say, trying to delete one account, deleted everything in my new account including my subscription. I tried to change the email address in the old account in an attempt to use that one, but that email was already in use. I tried to delete the other account and then couldn't sign into the first account. Then tried to sign in to the old account, it wouldn't let me. I decided maybe now I could finish the new account, wouldn't take phone number. Needless to say, during this period, I'm getting bombarded with texts saying that the phone number is already used on another account (which seemingly does not exist) and other texts saying here is your code, although none of the codes worked, when I put them in, I got a message saying the phone number was already in use. There are no human beings to speak with so a 2 second task takes all day! and still, I have not received a resolution to my problem.

it would be smart to have way verify your account with out haveing to use a phone number for those of us who dont have a phone

I still trying to verify my number for about 2 days now. Still I haven't recieve any SMS verification code. DISCORD IS TRASH!

Due to the effects of strokes, I had issues with cell phones, so I bought a landline. Now I am unable to chat in rooms besides the one i'm in, because I don't have a mobile number. Add in the fact that you cannot contact administrators without being verified, and now you are caught in a loop of nonsensical rules.

I don't have a phone, and use Discord on my laptop. Recently, I was unable to login to Discord because "there was something out of the ordinary going on." So, I had to add a phone number. I DON'T HAVE A PHONE AND CAN'T USE ONE! I wish they would use some other method.
