Feedback on Roles Color Update (August 2021)

The roles used to be full colored and it was fancier and easier to differentiate the roles when inspecting someones profile. Now it's down to a colored dot and everything looks plain and same.

I like the shape changes, darker background and interface etc., however this color change doesn't feel like a step forward. It's not horrible, but I feel the roles lost something, something pleasing to the eye.

I wonder what the thought process behind this was?

Is there a way to add back the colored border of a role aswell; what would speak against it?
