Clearing the emoji in the custom status separately

I know people like it or not with their whole custom status cleared but as what I've seen, it would be neat to have the previous cleared status in some way as history of statuses that you recently cleared, but wouldn't it be fine for people clearing the emoji in their status separately instead of the whole custom status?
