Muting user on iOS as well mutes them on MacOS/Windows client

For so long I had a problem with big voice chat servers, I have used my iOS device to mute people on my end so I don't have to listen to them but whenever I join with my MacOS client they are all unmuted. 

Why Discord doesn't make it sync with crossplatform so we don't have that problem?
