Requesting Notification throttling

but the notifications

are getting atrocious.

So please implement a notification throttling with configurable timer and scope. I don't need a notification for every message. I just need notifications once in a while. Currently I have to mute the chat for X time and I don't really like that solution because then I don't get to know that anything is written at all.

The timer is rather obvious. Notification on the first message, then no notification until the timer has run out.

With scope I mean that it should be configurable if the throttling works globally or per chat/server. If global scope, if any message is received from anywhere, chat or server, all notifications are blocked until the timer is up. While for a per server scope, if there's a message in server X, you can still get messages from server Y as all chats and servers would have their own timer.

I'm having this issue on the PC client specifically, but I imagine the other clients wouldn't hurt having it too.
